H2O For Life and Great American Opportunities

What is H2O for Life?

H20 for Life, a nonprofit organization, connects schools in the United States with schools in developing countries to complete WASH (WAter, Sanitation, and Hygiene) projects.

H20 for Life aims to help students build an allegiance to and an understanding of their partner school through curriculum and experiential learning while raising funds for WASH in Schools projects.

100 percent of contributions raised by schools goes directly to partner school projects. All overhead expenses are funded through in-kind donations and grants.

Why H2O for Life?

  • Every 15 seconds a child dies from lack of access to clean water.
  • Women and children can spend up to 60% of each day walking to collect water.
  • 4,500 children die each day due to unsafe water and a lack of basic sanitation.
  • One billion people lack safe water.
  • Two billion people lack basic sanitation.

How Can Your School Help?

When students are exposed to compelling facts, they are drawn to take action. H2O for Life partners schools in the United States with schools in developing nations.

Through service learning projects, students learn of the global water crisis and raise funds needed to bring water, latrines and hygiene education to their partner school.
